ARTICLE | SEEKING VOLUNTEERS | 25th JULY 2024
The Being Shiva social media team is a dedicated group of volunteer editors, programmers, ideators, and designers. We design, develop, and maintain all the social media properties of the Being Shiva Foundation, including our blog, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn pages. Our inspiration comes from Adiguru Prakriti, also known as Guru Maa, a yogini and profound mystic of our times. Guru Maa's life and work remind us that the spiritual journey is not an esoteric practice from the past but a contemporary science, vitally relevant today.
Our mission is to create a platform where Guru Maa's wisdom and insights, embodying the essence of yogic sciences, are accessible to all. Being Shiva's activities have touched thousands of lives, but it is Adiguru Prakriti's vision to make this possibility available to every human being. To achieve this, we are seeking volunteers who can contribute in the following areas:
Graphic Designers
To help create amazing visuals for our social media platforms, which will be useful in hosting Adiguru's message.
Skills: Experience in using any professional image editing software, like Adobe Photoshop.
Time commitment: At least 5 hours availability per week.

Graphic Content Ideators
To identify the right image to go with a particular message of Guru Maa. In an effort to make her wisdom more relevant and applicable to today’s audience, we sometimes use an image which is non-branded, i.e. images that have no direct association with Being Shiva or Guru Maa. We do not have to stop at just picture quotes. Social media is constantly evolving. Sometimes we need a completely different level of engagement to get our message across.
Skills: Creativity!
Time commitment: At least 8 hours availability per week.

Content Writers (English & Hindi, Separate Volunteer Positions)
Activities include:
Copy-editing and proof reading articles and other web content.
Writing and posting content online for web pages, blogs, social media, newsletter, press releases etc.
Finding and developing new ideas for web content.
Assuring web content is user-friendly and key-worded for SEO benefit.
Ability to write SEO-based content to help achieve organic rankings.
Moderating user-generated content such as message Facebook pages/posts/twitter replies.
Some experience creating or sourcing content for websites/magazines/blogs (any URLs provided will be beneficial).
Familiarity with internet marketing, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) or web development will be an additive advantage.
Ability to write engaging online content.
Add to creative and strategic ideas for online marketing initiatives.
Skills: Proficiency in English (British English preferably or American English) or Hindi
Time commitment: At least 8 hours availability per week.

YouTube Channel SEO Manager
To help manage Guru Maa Adiguru Prakriti's English and Hindi YouTube channels, to actively perform SEO, post/repurpose Videos/Audio, add SEO suitable description and all SEO work for the two channels.
Skills: Experience in YouTube Channels Management, SEO, Video/Audio, Adobe or any other Video, Audio software
Time commitment: At least 5 hours availability per week.
